Taiwan: Fish 180

Whenever we visit Taiwan, we always have a meal with our aunt, typically at her favorite dim sum restaurant.  She switched it up this time around and instructed us to meet her at Fish 180:

With its clean lines and simple decor, Fish 180 is uber modern:

There are tablets on every table to facilitate ordering:

If you're anti-social and don't want to talk to people, this place is perfect for you.  Just a few swipes of a tablet screen and you can get a four color don (220 NT / $7.15) set at your table:

It includes tuna, salmon, swordfish, and squid.  Every set also comes with miso soup and an edamame side.

If salmon is your thing, you can get the salmon with ikura don (220 NT):

Or if you're feeling fancy, there's the "luxury" sashimi don (280 NT / $9), which comes with salmon, ikura, scallop, and shrimp:

The miso soup comes upgraded in this set, because LUXURY.

If you're like my mom and don't like raw fish, 180 Fish has plenty of cooked options as well, such as the unagi don (360 NT / $11.70):

Or the salt roasted salmon head (220 NT):

It might look a bit grotesque, but fish head meat is super tender and delicious!

Now I love dim sum, but I certainly wouldn't mind if my aunt took us to Fish 180 the next time we visit Taiwan.
