New York: Bibble & Sip

Los Tacos No.1 was followed by Artichoke pizza, which was just as delicious as we remembered.  Abby and I then took a break from our NY food adventure to visit our friend Nana at her workplace.  Afterwards, there was still some time before T and CV's musical finished, so we did the last thing we should've done.

We got more food:

Bibble & Sip might look like a dark and serious cafe:

But if you look more closely, you'll find that it's CUTENESS OVERLOAD:

I mean, c'mon!  I originally wanted the lychee berry tart (shaped like a piggy!), but the last one was taken by the person right before us in line.  Instead, we got the raspberry lychee rose tart, which came complete with an alpaca macaron.

We also asked for an earl grey cream puff ($3.90):

It came bursting at the seams with cream:

Beyond the pastries, Bibble & Sip also offers drinks and a savory selection.  Just about everything at Bibble & Sip is designed to make you go "aww".  Some places are all about being Instagramable and less about actually tasting good.  I'm pleased to report that Bibble & Sip is not like that.  The tart was a bit floral for my tastes, but the cream puff was rich and delicious.

As with most trendy NY spots, Bibble & Sip is not cheap.  I don't remember the exact price of the tart, but it was definitely around $6.  Abby and I bit the bullet once for the Gram, however I'm not so certain we would go back again if we had the chance.
