South Bay: MandRo Teahouse

On a rainy night deep in December, Abby and I decided to take our cousin out for dessert after dinner.  What better dessert to have on a rainy night than bingsoo?  Abby discovered a relatively new place nearby, so we grabbed our umbrellas and away we went to MandRo Teahouse:

Unsurprisingly, given the weather and the season, the place was pretty empty:

Undeterred, we ordered our strawberry bingsoo ($9.95 for a regular):

It came basically overflowing.  We had to walk super carefully from the counter to the table to avoid extra spillage.  Thank goodness for the tray.

Love that their bingsoo is make with shaved milk.  Love the extra sweet milk on the side (not sure exactly what it is because it's too thin to be straight condensed milk).  Love the strawberry jam inside and the mochi on top as well.  Definitely enough to share amongst three people.

All in all, a solid bingsoo.  The interior is a bit quirky and cramped, but there's plenty of parking in the lot and the prices are not bad.  I would go back again (not with a large group though).
