Oakland: Bhugay's Katsu Curry

It took embarrassingly long for my friend CT and I to finally realize that our offices are kitty-corner to each other.  After that revelation, there was simply no excuse not to grab lunch together, especially with so many food options nearby.

You can get various types of katsu at Bhugay's.  Fish katsu, chicken katsu, tofu katsu, katsu burger, katsu wrap...you get the idea.

I went with the chicken katsu curry ($7.99):

There's something about Japanese curry that is very comforting to me.  It's a nostalgia thing.  Goopy sauce over rice was basically the majority of my childhood.

Walking distance from the office: check.
Quick service: check.
Reasonable prices: check.
Generous portions: check.
Tasty grub: check.

Final verdict?  Bhugay's Katsu Curry meets all the requisites for the perfect workday lunch spot.
