Japan: Forest of Owl

We had some time to kill before our next meal reservation, so where else would we be but at an owl cafe in Asakusa?  Jiejie wanted to go, so there we went.

It was easy to spot Forest of Owl as there was literally a real life owl right outside:

For ¥1300 ($12.19) per person, you get to walk upstairs into what feels like another world:

A world filled with owls:

Seriously.  There's owls everywhere:

And you can pet them too.  It's insane.

The entrance fee also includes one drink from their vending machine:

But let's be real.  Nobody is there for the refreshments.

It's all about the owls:

Owls that just walk around as they please:

There are other animals besides owls too.  Like this meerkat:

And this iguana:

I guess gophers are kind of cute too:

Too bad the otter was napping in the back corner:

If you're willing to pay extra, you can feed certain animals.  I was fine just sitting inside soaking in the peace and quiet, away from all the crowds outside.  It was cool to pet an owl too.

If you're into owls, definitely check out Forest of Owl.  But if you're looking for an actual cafe, you might want to look elsewhere.
