Baltimore: Charles Village Pub
Thanksgiving break passed way too quickly for my liking. One day we're Swapples battling into the wee hours of the morning without a care in the world and the next we're trying to figure out what shuttle to take to get to Penn Station in time for Nana's bus.
We managed to fit in a brunch on Saturday before Nana and I had to return to our respective cities. Since Woodberry Kitchen was out of the question (drat it), we stuck close to my sister's dorm and ate at Charles Village Pub:
The pub was pretty empty Saturday morning. No surprise there.
We each ended up ordering a club sandwich. My sister got the Charles Village club, which came with ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo:
I went with the Goucher club because I was in the mood for some chicken salad:
The bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo rounded out the sandwich.
Nana went for the Baltimore club, which packed in turkey, bacon, tomato, lettuce, and mayo:
The sandwiches were surprisingly legit. I really enjoyed mine, though I couldn't eat more than half of it. I really am getting weak in my old age.
Nana didn't want chips, so we got a side of curly fries:
I had a fantastic time in Baltimore this Thanksgiving. It was great to just escape from law school and chill with some of my favorite people. And eat good food.
Thank you, Nana, for preparing the best Thanksgiving feast EVER. And thank you, sister dear, for letting us crash in your not-so-dinky dorm room. I can't wait to see you again in a few days. Hooray for winter break!
