South Bay: The Habit Burger Grill

Our Father's Day gift to our father was to go to his church with him.  Afterwards, we took him to Habit since it's close to our house and we couldn't think of anywhere else to go:

Knowing it is a chain, I wasn't particularly interested in Habit.  It seemed like most people didn't have that issue:

My mother and I both wanted the portabella charburger ($4.95):

It came with roasted garlic aioli and white American cheese on top of the usual lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion, pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun.

My sister went with the BBQ bacon charburger ($4.80):

While my father wanted the teriyaki burger ($3.80) with its teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple:

The burgers were surprisingly affordable and not too shabby.  I was pleasantly surprised.

To round out our meal, we added a side of fries ($2.15) and a side of onion rings ($2.50):

And two large sodas ($2.15 each) to split.

Considering that a McD or Burger King meal can now set you back around seven to eight bucks, Habit is a pretty good alternative for a fast food meal with a slight whiff of gourmet-ness.  The burgers were decent, the prices were fair, and the food came fast.

In conclusion: I'm not mad at that.
