West Yellowstone: Las Palmitas
The day after I returned home from Costa Rica, I was on the move again. This time, to Yellowstone National Park along with T, CL, and DK.
We flew into Jackson Hole, WY and then proceeded to drive three hours to West Yellowstone, MT. First order of business upon arrival? Find dinner. Our search led us to Las Palmitas:
Choice of meat consisted of pollo, pastor, picadillo, asada, and carnitas. I asked for picadillo or shredded beef as I rarely see that as an option. Both meals came with rice and refried beans.
The restaurant was inside a converted bus, which was very endearing:
Based on Yelp reviews, I ordered the enchiladas verdes ($11.99) to split with T:
T couldn't resist the chimichanga ($10.99), so we got one of those too:

Coming from California, we're a bit spoiled when it comes to Mexican food. While Las Palmitas wasn't necessarily anything to write home about, it was a cheap place to dine in a touristy town and it had large portions and not terrible food. Really can't complain about that.
