Oakland: Kitchen 388
We finally got all the Bay Area Chitown girls together in Oakland for dinner. SY was curious about Kitchen 388, so that's where we went:
The interior was very cute and cozy:
Too bad we sat next to the front door, which wouldn't close all the way on its own. I had to get up to close the door every time someone walked in or out.
We started the meal with a very fall appropriate salad:
Don't remember everything that was in it, but most notable were the pomegranate seeds and the persimmon.
Two of us went with the grilled salmon. It was topped with Thai salsa on a bed of brown jasmine rice and came with a side of asparagus:
VN and I ordered the kitchen 388 burger, which came with a small salad:
Beef patty, cheddar cheese, and veggies in an Acme bun with a small salad on the side :
The service at Kitchen 388 was very friendly and the food was decent. However, the food wasn't special enough or delicious enough to make me want to return.
Sorry, Kitchen 388.
