Oakland: Ichiro Sushi
Since it was L3's last few days at work, we ate out for lunch quite often. One place we tried was Ichiro Sushi:
The place was pretty much filled when we arrived. Guess Ichiro is very popular with the working crowd.
We each started off with a bowl of miso soup:
It was the first miso soup I've ever had in a restaurant where there were noodles in it:
L3 and I decided to share 2 rolls between the 2 of us. In hindsight, one was probably enough.
First there was the Titanic roll:
It was gigantic. L3 warned me about it, but I still wasn't prepared for its sheer size. The Titanic roll is basically shrimp tempura wrapped with tuna and salmon and topped with spicy crab.
Then we split the crazy horse:
Though there were only 4 pieces, each one was MASSIVE. The roll consisted of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, and veggies.
You definitely get your money's worth at Ichiro Sushi. I'm a fan.
