SF Peninsula: Dough Zone
That doesn't mean it wasn't busy though:
Instead of a server coming to take your order, there's a barcode at the table for you to scan, which then takes you to Dough Zone's website. Super easy peasy.
We couldn't decide between two noodles, so we ended up getting both. Because we're adults and that's what adults do. We got the dan dan noodle ($6.25) and the noodle with onion soy sauce ($6.25):
We also got the pork xiao long bao ($7.95):
The pork and shrimp potstickers ($5.55):
The pork wonton with chili sauce ($5.55):
The Q-bao or pan fried pork buns ($8.95):
We were still a bit hungry after that, so we added a few more things. Like the sweet and sour cucumber ($5.25):
The beef pancake roll ($7.95):
And the steamed pork buns ($8.95):
Honestly, I don't get what all the fuss is about. Everything was...alright? The cucumber was the only stand out.
Let's just say I wouldn't be inclined to wait in line for this. The portion sizes were also a bit small for the price point. (As evidenced by the fact that we had to order more in the middle of the meal.)
Sorry, Dough Zone. I may love dough, but I simply wasn't impressed.
