South Bay: Blue Line Pizza
We were there in time for Blue Line's happy hour and it seemed like many others were there for that too:
From 3:00 to 6:00 pm on weekdays, Blue Line's happy hour allows you to get appetizers for 50% off. We started with the garlic bread (normally $7.85):
We also ordered the spicy meatballs (normally $10.25):
With the addition of AG and UK, our party of five decided to get two small pizzas, which are supposed to feed two to three people each. Since Blue Line is known for its Chicago-style deep dish, we got the Blue Line ($21.10):
Also known as the "Little Star" after its sister restaurant in the city, the Blue Line included spinach, ricotta, feta, mushrooms, onions, and garlic with marinara sauce.
Just to switch things up, we also got a thin crust tipsy pig ($21.10):
It was topped with marinated pork, tequila lime crema, red onion, fresh jalapeno, and cilantro.
Born and raised in Chicago, both CK and AG gave Blue Line their stamp of approval. Considering how discerning CK is with food, this came as a welcome surprise. Who knew you could find good deep dish outside of Chicago?
