Korea: Angyeong Halmeoni Gopchang

Our days in Seoul were limited and there was so much that we wanted to eat.  So even though we were tired, we still dragged ourselves out of our Airbnb for a late night snack at Angyeong Halmeoni Gopchang:

Jiejie, our food guide, told us Angyeong Halmeoni had delicious intestine.  Being avid intestine fans, CK and I were all in.

With all the accompaniments, it certainly looked promising off the bat:

The seasoned intestine was ₩13000 ($10.18) per portion.  Out of deference to my weaksauce self, we got two orders of the mild:

The intestine came pre-grilled, which was fine, but also kind of hard and stale, which wasn't so fine.  Some pieces were so tough that they were basically inedible.  CK and I smiled and chewed diligently through the meal, but after we left, we couldn't hold it in anymore and had to let Jiejie know that her recommendation sucked.

In the most loving way possible, of course.

While I liked the homey feel of Angyeong Halmeoni Gopchang, I cannot recommend it.  Not when there's infinitely better intestine in Seoul.  Angyeong Halmeoni just isn't worth putting on pants and leaving the house for.
