South Bay: Ocean Delight
CK and AG moved into their new home in August. Abby and I went to scope it out one Sunday and seized the opportunity to drag the two of them on a hike in nearby Santa Teresa County Park. Unfamiliar with the area, we floundered a bit over where to go for lunch afterward.
We somehow got dim sum on the brain and Yelp led us to Ocean Delight:
The restaurant was decently busy, though by no means packed:
Prepare yourself for a series of photos of some truly mediocre dim sum. Like this congee:
It wasn't horrendous by any means, just not very inspired.
Or these siu mai and steamed spare ribs:
Again, not offensive in any way, but just pretty blah.
Even the phoenix claw was lackluster:
The beef offal was alright:
We've certainly had better.
The daikon cake was just soft and meh:
The pan fried chive dumpling was the only thing that was passable:
It's safe to say that we won't be back to Ocean Delight any time soon. There's just so many better dim sum restaurants in the Bay. Don't waste time (or stomach space) at this one.
