Shasta County: Firehouse Pizza Restaurant
The interior decor was charming and cozy. There might have been an upstairs dining area, but we didn't venture up.
We placed our order at the counter and seated ourselves:
We got a large gourmet garlic chicken ($22.50):
It came topped with garlic sauce, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, smoked bacon, and roasted chicken.
Since there were six of us (including one guy who can really EAT), we also got a medium combo pizza ($17):
This one was topped with salami, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, olives, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Classic.
Even with a guy with a big appetite, we still had leftovers, which we saved for breakfast the next day. Nothing better than cold pizza to kick off a day, no?
The pizza at Firehouse were cheesy and loaded with toppings. The crust had that nice crunch on the outside and that oh-so-soft bready inside that I love. (Yea, I'm a thick crust kind of gal.) Prices were reasonable and service was quick. There really wasn't anything to complain about.
If you're basing your Lassen adventure in Red Bluff, definitely check out Firehouse!
