San Diego: Lolita's Mexican Food
Going down to Otay Mesa for a week, my coworker SM was most excited about trying a real California burrito. She did her research like the good attorney that she is and discovered that Lolita's arguably serves the best and there was one conveniently located close to our hotel.

This was no hole in a wall:
We perused the menu carefully, but ultimately each of us went with the California burrito ($7.50) since that was the whole purpose of the outing:
The burrito came with carne asada, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. What made it "Californian" was the addition of french fries:
Honestly, we weren't all that impressed. In fact, we all found the burrito to be rather dry. We had to drown it in salsa to be able to swallow it down.
SM left disappointed, but we made it up to her with a team bonding night of face masks and Family Feud.
