Hong Kong: Yuen Kee Noodles
After our first round of street eats, we were ready for something a bit more...filling. Just down the street was Yuen Kee Noodles:
It was crammed full inside, so we each grabbed a stool at the tiny counter outside.
To save room for more food later, we split a bowl of won ton noodle between the four of us (25 HKD):
And a bowl of beef tendon noodle (28 HKD):
The won tons were the best thing there. Later, we heard from CL's relatives that Yuen Kee is known for having good won tons. What can I say? We have a spot on radar for good food.
The noodles were very Q and had just the right chewiness. The tendons were super soft, but despite how much I love tendon, they weren't quite as memorable as the won tons.
While I'm not sure if I would recommend people to go out of the way to find Yuen Kee Noodles, it's definitely a great place to have a quick lunch if you're in the area.
