Malaysia: Jaya (Revisited)
For our final meal in Penang, we didn't really feel like traveling too far. We stuck with a sure thing and went to Jaya again.
Couldn't go without fresh juice:
I got watermelon. I think CK got orange.
We wanted to try something new, so we got a tosai (dosa for those of us who are used to the Indian spelling in the States):
I really like lamb:
Our server recommended we try the banana tosai:
I was afraid it would be too banana-y, but it wasn't at all. The tosai was flaky and buttery and wonderful.
With all this food in our belly, we settled down in the lobby of our guesthouse to wait for our ride to the bus stop. One TV movie later, our ride arrived and we spent the rest of the night on a bus to Singapore.
Great to follow your culinary adventures in Malaysia and so glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteLet me just point out that the word 'dosa' in Malay means 'sin'. The correct spelling of that food you ate is 'tosai'
